April Fools jokes can scare, annoy, and aggravate; but these ones just left us wishing they were real.
Wolverine’s Appearance in Avengers: Endgame
This is something that should not be joked about. Ever since the Disney/Fox merger, the thought of the X-Men, Fantastic Four, or Deadpool in Endgame has been invading fans’ dreams on a nightly basis. The image above, including the most beautiful Avengers-themed Wolverine suit, was much too good to be true when it was floating around the internet on Monday. One can only dream to see Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine on the team – Thanos wouldn’t stand a chance.
McDonald’s “Shake Sauce”
We (the collective eaters of McDonald’s) have spent years dipping our fries in ice cream and milkshakes, wishing there were an easier way to experience the lethal combination of fried food and ice cream. When McDonald’s teased their new “shake sauce,” it immediately sparked the genius idea in fast food connoisseur’s minds, but, *checks calendar* it was April first. Maybe one day, MickeyDees, maybe one day.
LEGO’s “Find My Brick” App
If you’ve ever played with LEGOs (odds are you have), you know the painful struggle of endlessly searching for pieces that seem to have disappeared. When LEGO’s Twitter teased at an app that would help us find those missing bricks, our prayers seemed to have been answered. *April fools!* But seriously LEGO, please do this for us.
All of the Barter 7 Tweets
Young Thug has been teasing at his already famous album Barter 7 ever since the release of Barter 6. To those of you who tweeted that the release of the highly anticipated sequel was imminent – fuck you. It’s not cool. Barter 7 is a promise of a return to the sound that Thug captured fans with in 2015; and an album that apparently features Travis Scott, Meek Mill, and Gunna (among others). While it’s a funny joke that seems to be a reoccurring theme around Thug, it’s still too close to the heart to be joked about.
The Chicago Bears’ 100 Jerseys
Because why not? For their 100th year, the Bears premiered their “100” jerseys on Twitter. While they’re the most obvious April Fool’s joke ever, they’re a clever idea, and would be one-of-a-kind on the field. Giving every jersey the value of a hundred would be absolutely hysterical to watch – just imagine Cody Parkey’s missed field goal with a “104” instead of “4” on his jersey; it’s just better… Too soon? We’re sorry, Bears fans.
