Chance The Rapper’s “Coloring Book” (2016): This is a mixtape I completely overlooked because I wanted the mumble rap that had heavy bass and easy lyrics to follow. I see why this mixtape received all positive reviews and three grammys, because this was the best “gospel-rap” album ever made. Chance’s delivery of every word is just as beautiful as the last, every feature fits perfectly into every song, and I can’t forget the top tier production. Every song has a new aspect you come to appreciate more with every listen. The long list of features range from Kanye West, to Justin Bieber, to Lil Wayne, to even the Chicago Children’s Choir. Those features alone is a win in my books. So if you looked over this album like I did, I most definitely recommend you give this masterpiece a listen.
Top 4 Songs: All We Got (feat. Kanye West & Chicago Children’s Choir), Juke Jam (Justin Beiber & Towkio), Blessings, No Problems (feat. Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz)
