Stellar First Week For The Newly Formed Duo
Future and Juice Wrld surprised fans last week with Wrld on Drugs, a collaboration project from the two that delighted fans with standout tracks such as Jet Lag and Fine China. The project was teased on Future’s Instagram Monday night, and dropped at midnight on Thursday.
The collaboration debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, and moved 98,000 units in its first week (8,000 being from pure sales).
Wrld on Drugs served as the second effort of the year for both artists, with Future dropping Beast Mode 2 in July, and Juice Wrld exploding onto the scene with Goodbye & Good Riddance in May. It also continues the string of collab projects that Future has been featured on in recent years, along with What A Time To Be Alive with Drake, and Super Slimey with fellow Atlanta rapper Young Thug.
The project is Future’s first time eclipsing 75,000 first week sales since Hndrxx in February of 2017, despite having three more projects since then. For Juice Wrld, it is the first project to make it into the top three on Billboard’salbum chart.
